    Request for Quote

To provide you a firm pad printing quote we need:

1)  Three actual parts shipped to us for ink testing and fixture and print speed determination.
2)  The actual artwork generated in Illustrator or CorelDraw, emailed to us (vector art, see the "Artwork
FAQ" link above). Artwork generated and output from a CAD program is not usable.
3)  CAD drawings showing print location and ink specifications, emailed to us in a .pdf  file.
4)  A description of the packaging in which the parts would be shipped to us, so that we can
     determine handling labor.

Use the "Contact Us" link above for our ship to and email addresses.

Typical cost to print a dark ink, 2"x2" image onto a light colored object 1"x4"x6" in size:
  Tooling  = $75.
One color print:   Machine setup = $65. plus Print cost for 250 units @ $.19 each + packaging.
Two color print:   Machine setup = $130. plus Print cost for 250 units @ $.29 each + packaging.

Smaller sized parts and/or larger quantities will print at lower costs, of course.

A note on "Tooling".
Most printers have a tooling charge which covers cost of film, cliche and the part holding fixture.
When a job gets transferred to another printer, the owner of the project wants the cliches and fixtures
they paid for sent to the new printer.

The problem with that is that of the hundreds of pad printing machine brands out there, and the dozens of sizes within each brand, those cliches are probably not going to be useful to the new printer.

For example, we don't want the former printer's cliches or fixture. They won't work for us.

When we charge for cliches it is a "rental". You are paying a one time rental for space on our cliche material.

We don't make steel cliches, we use short run material and the lower cost allows us to make a new set of cliches, at our expense, if we think a slight repositioning of the artwork would make the next print run easier. We charge for the first set of cliches we make for your project but we may end up making many more cliches, even ganging up with other jobs. You won't be owning the cliches.

When we charge for a part holding fixture, it is a rental. You are paying a one time rental for the use of a fixture we make that becomes part of our machinery. You won't be owning the fixture.
